rf-paschal-event  Elementary students from throughout Fort Worth ISD’s Paschal High School Pyramid came to the READING FESTIVAL which was a wonderful success!!  Students had the wonderful opportunity to read to and with students from Paschal High School and Texas Christian University’s sorority, fraternity, and LEAPS organizations; plus experience other fun amusements and receive free book plus school supplies.  rf-paschal-girls-2016

This year’s “Fall in Love with Reading” event was highlighted and dedicated in the memory of the former Paschal student, DREW MEDFORD.  Many of the reading-mentoring students shared, “I think this was one of the best and most fun Saturday mornings I have ever spent — giving back to children and helping them improve their reading skills, reading stamina and self-esteem.

Aledo ISD Athletic Director Honored

pr-for-t-buchanan  Score A Goal In The Classroom has named TIM BUCHANAN, Athletic Director and former football coach in the Aledo ISD, the 2016 recipient of the Bayard H. Friedman HERO Award.  The award was presented by Ernie Horn, Executive Director of SAGITC, at the Aledo High School football game on Friday, October 21.  buchanan_hero_award_2016-2

Coach Buchanan started his successful coaching and athletic director career in Aledo in 1993.  He decided to step down from coaching to dedicate more time to be the Athletic Director in 2014.  His Bearcat football team had a record of 227 wins, 53 losses, and 3 ties!  His legendary skill and love for his student athletes helped him lead the Aledo Bearcats to five state football championships!  He and his wife, Rebecca, have two children, Madeline and Caleb.
